TheDeductible ..Really? Man..I have never look through Canadian cent seriously. Just see this one yesterday from my canadian cent I been keeping it..

Bate I want to share and image with you. this 1979 canadian penny. it is triple struck on the reverse. double struck on the obverse. if you look at the strike on the 1979. you will see the raised metal on the outside of the struck digits. this coin was struck on an over annealed or cooked coin blank. see how the metal raised up around the digits. the annealing process was to hot. so you should try to raise the mag on your image. this might help you. to see if your metal is raised around your digits. meaning you would have a double struck reverse. plus a coin that has been struck on over heated coin blank. see the striking die pushed. the die right down deep into the metal here is my image hope this helps.  |

Bate your welecome I see if you look real close at the side of the maple branch next to the 8. I can see where the metal also started. to move right there at the maple branch. so you definitely have a over annealed coin blank. I have found a few of these. have a great one

It is not triple or double struck anything... that is Die Deterioration Doubling from a single strike... or, as collectors in the US call it - die fatigue. Rocky, you should really learn the die production process, the striking process and the different types of doubling seen on coins, before spreading that kind of false information. thank you all so much. the second book has a link to another book on errors and varieties. I am some glad that these links was shared. I can not believe all the information in the third book. which I just purchased. I am so surprised at the high mag they work at in this last book. I can not believe all the re-entries. that has been found on the issued eighteen hundreds canadian coins. again thank you all so much have great one

spp ottawa thank you so much. I seen some of that person work. his work is very detailed. I found another book with errors up to 2017 on the canadian run of coins. what I dont understand is I know right now about 10 varieties. not a person has listed them. so I am hoping with this new book. I can find them in there. I have been reading alot work done by hans zoell. I like his stye. his work pointed me in a direction. toward this doctor james haxby. I have purchased 2 of his books. I have started to read the first book. it was quite some time ago with the Royal Canadian Mint. this book is big with lots of information. I like all the work that he put in about the mint. this book shows a person a lot. any one wanting to learn about the mints presses. plus alot more of great information. I am finding my direction thank you all so much. here fingers crossed that these new varieties are listed in this new book. have a great one |
