Can you tell if it is an integral part of the coin or added? Perhaps looking at the edge would help. I see a gouge at about 7 o'clock--what does that show? Also, please add an overall pic of the rev of this coin. Thx! AlexCoinKing New Member United States 6 Posts	Posted 11/28/2018 4:47 pm I don't believe this is damage it happened after it was minted this metal seems to be an intricate part of the coin you can also ee IBER of Liberty indented in the metal. I check with a magnet and it's not attracted in any way that makes me believe it's not solder I'll send pictures of the side of coin once I get home from work Report this Post to the Staff

Also a full image of the reverse as well. Weight. See what happened? Whether it is something added to the coin, or altering the coin. Report this Post to the Staff
