This looks like the 9 is broken, have y'all seen this before?

Looks like a filled 9. Caused by a break in the Die. Very nice.

Actually that is a progressive die chip. Note that the chip is lumpy? That is because it chipped off several times and progressively got worse as more coin were struck.

That's a Die Chip in the 9 of the date. The area of the die chipped off, causing it to fill the 9.

Thanks guys, not a keeper in my book but not a normal filled 9, because it is a progressive die chip like coop said.

I have the filled in 9 there is also one I found that the 6 is filled in along the neck of the 6 .
