@asha44, first welcome to CCF. Second, while jetons are not my area of expertise, I'm a little surprised to see one made from what appears to be silver. Here is a link to a copper jeton with one side being quite similar to your piece (identified as being from 1719 AD Lyon):

Possibly a Jeton de Presence.

Jetons de Presence would, in todays world be classed as Attendance Fees. In 18th and 19th Century France, directors of companies or syndicates were presumed to be wealthy individuals. It would therefore be an affront to offer money in return for their directorial efforts. Thus was born the Jeton de Presence, a piece of silver equal in size and value to a high value circulating coin.

very nice example of high quality of an 18th century silver jeton produced in the city of Lyon

the lion in the coat-of-arms and the two allegorical figures, male and female, spilling water from big jars, here standing on the REV: they represent the Rhône and Saône rivers which merge in Lyon

what is unusual for the piece above is that there is no legend on this piece, making the correct identification a bit more challenging

here is an example of a jeton from the same period from the consulat de Lyon sold by CGB in Paris:

I have one example myself from the chambre de commerce de Lyon, this is a quite common type:
