@Angeleyes1981, first welcome to CCF. Second, can you please also post a pic of the other side of this coin? Thx.

I moved your post to the appropriate section for the proper attention. Are you trying to find information or trying to find where you can buy one like that?

to the forum! Posting a picture of the other side would help, but I agree that it looks like it's from Nepal.

to CCF! Always remember to post photos of both sides of the coin as it makes it easier to identify and date the coin.

Looked at it again, it says 5 paisa inside the circle with the trident. This would be from the Tribhuvan era, but again the date is on the other side. As with all Nepali coins of the time, you'd have to translate the date from VS calendar. I've only seen these in poor shape as they are all struck by hand, but they aren't that old. By the color of the coin I'd also suspect someone cleaned it in acid or something.

Yes a closer look and it's 5 paisa and not 2. My idea came from poor photos in my book and not paying closer attention.

Contrary to your statement, you did have something to add and that is the date. I'm looking at the coin and have my table of numerals, but I have trouble reading the date clearly. No doubt someone will reply with the right date.
