*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***

Still trying to fully understand die wear and doubled die. I understand the definitions but not what to look for exactly.
Found this penny today and wanted to know what you guys think. Searched online but didn't find much for a 1985 like this... plus I'm lazy and just wanted some quick help. thanks

I have added it this time, but you should include the date, mintmark, and the denomination in your titles.

I feel it is Machine Doubling. Not Die Deterioration. Die Deterioration on the single squeeze cents usually shows on the fields next to the devices in the closest direction of the rim:

The older style multi hubbed coins in the past show die wear from the edge of the devices towards to the rim:

Machine Doubling happens on the devices on either side of the devices. Top or bottom, inside or outside of devices, sometimes on two or more sides.

It always leaves flattened devices. Even happens on doubled dies:

Die Deterioration leaves a raised area next to the devices.

Hope this helps. If not, ask another question. I've got thousands of images to draw on.
