Unless I missed seeing it in uspapermoney.info, the highest note number ever issued for circulation is 96000000Y. The Z suffix has never been used. My highest note is 34643542Y. Surely others have even higher examples in the -Y block. Anyone have 96000000Y? Who can post the closest example?

According to my records, the highest S/N for a $1 note in series 1988-A was 83200000Y. The only other series that has a S/N that is higher is series 1995 (96000000Y). I have been wrong before though.

Sorry, this thread slipped my mind.

Usually Florida is hot and humid, but recently it's been below average with very low humidity. When you handle crispy uncirculated notes you really appreciate how official they feel, and this pair is no exception. Believe it or not, they both have retained that new currency smell. I ended up having a F-Y and an L-Y.

I use a three prong approach.

1) Old-school handwritten records
2) Apple "Numbers" spreadsheet
3) Scanned to Photobucket 2006-2016

I'm slowly rescanning all my notes to eventually trash Photobucket.
