2016p nickel looks like doubling on the mint mark and date. any feedback is appreciated.

Wexler has no listings yet for a 2016-P DDO. DDR he does have. But note this link:

Go down to that year. Note the locations of the DDR's are in the center of the coin area. So if there was a DDO, then it would be in the central area of the obverse die. Hope this helps.
