For instance by typing in 1982 Small/Large date in the Search Forum, you can find out how to easily identify the difference between the two. I like simple so my PUP is the top of the 8. If the opening at the top is smaller than the bottom, it is a Small Date. If the openings are the same size, it is a Large Date.
