Hello all, wondering your thoughts on this 1921 S. Is this a large S? Another question is about the face. Has anyone seen this type of polishing on the face. Also, has what looks like retooling around the chin, jaw and neck. Thought is was fake, but not sure. Thank you for the help.

I looked, could not find it. Did not see any listing for cheek scribbling with a filled s. Most numbers went off tail, any scribbling on/around tail? Good luck!

Can you post a picture of the full obverse and the full reverse of the coin?

I've never heard of a large "S" vs a small "s"mint mark on a 21-S Morgan dollar, either. Every 21-S Morgan I've ever encountered had a small s. It is one of those coins that once you see the reverse there is no need to flip over the coin to check the date. You KNOW exactly what the date is.

I'm guessing your pictured coin is counterfeit. It just doesn't look "right" to me.

The coin is either counterfeit, or we are looking at the obverse of one coin and the reverse of a different coin.

I find it even more suspicious since the OP has not been here to respond to our comments or requests for over two weeks!

I would like to see a complete picture of the obverse and reverse. But something is not added up. It's sure looks counterfeit to me.
