Finn235 Pillar of the Community United States 6130 Posts	Posted 12/21/2018 11:18 am I haven't forgotten my Gadhaiya coins; just been quietly studying and re-organizing to keep my study as accurate as I can possibly make it. Meanwhile, I have had a bit of a buying spree (remember the doghouse?) and have substantially expanded my favorite series, the "curved head" type. Recently won these two in a bit of a bidding war, because of my love for the unusual! First one, struck once, rotated 90 degrees, then struck again. Note the extra ribbon directly under the portrait; that doesn't match with either strike, so this one may be triple-struck! Second one, struck first extremely off-center, so they centered it a little better and tried again. Edited by Finn235 12/21/2018 11:19 am Report this Post to the Staff

And interesting point, Paul; I do have a number of double-struck Indo-Sassanian coins, but in the 2.5 years I have been collecting them, I have never seen a overstruck example!
