Quote: I've been trundling along at a smidgen over a dollar a day for the last ten days, but tonight I picked $1.77 in well-scattered change.. a soda machine yielded two quarters, one of which was a 1976-D bicentennial: Awesome!

picked from atop an ice machine at 2:30am: very shiny, proof-like, tricky to get decent pictures.. i'd never seen that particular reverse on a canadian quarter, but somehow this coin was ringing familiar and I had to go diggin' thru coin pictures back to january 1, 2020: so before I look these up I'm guessing canadian quarters had different reverses for all the months in 1999.. (pauses to look it up) ..a-ha, canadian millennium quarters! how 'bout that?..... well, I have found two different reverses, lol.. canadian millennium quarters turning up on key west streets.. whodathunkit..

october minutiae. last night, halloween night, I dodged all of the scary monsters & picked $1.52 in well-scattered change. i picked a total of $32.09 from kw streets & parking lots in october, all coin. this was the first month in i-don't-know-how-long that I didn't find at least one wild buck. no dollar coins, either. only 3 interesting coins did I find: a bicentennial quarter, a canadian millennium quarter & €1 italy. also found a total of 3 bottles of water & a box of little debbie munchies. there were 6 rain days, 2 of which were zeroes. despite the absence of FRNs & the difficulty of finding anything at all on numerous rainy nights I still managed a dollar a day average ($1.03). current running total sits at $263.37, with black friday just 23 days away. i am turning in all of my found money- collected since april 21- whatever the amount is- on black friday. alchemy.

Quote: Decent month! yes, it was decent enough. no complaints, tho I did a lot of rain-induced grumblin' & cussin' in october, lol.. based on the current numbers I project the running total will reach $287.55 by black friday, barring any major groundscores. currently at $265.14 with 3 weeks to go. Quote: Good luck on Black Friday. thank you, jbuck. I'm planning on a midnight procedure; as thanksgiving day concludes at midnight and black friday begins i'll begin the base metal & paper transformation to gold & silver. i'll have to do it quickly cos I have kitties to feed, so I could potentially set a new land-speed record on this conversion.
