ijn1944, the package of fully-cooked pork ribs from the deli were in a plastic bag atop a propane tank bin just outside the store. someone sat them there and walked off without them. unopened, undamaged and unspoiled.

but I'm never looking for ribs, milk or potatoes when I go out, of course. I'm looking for money. the next package I want to find would be a bundle of benjamins. that day will come. universe is keeping me fed & hydrated (& entertained, to some extent) until that day comes.

Once I was taking a walk in my neighborhood when I saw paper money lying in the road. When I bent down to pick it up the wind blew it into the center of the road so I ran after it, just as I was about to grab it, again it went flying away. Then I heard hysterical laughing and saw two kids running away. My husband said it's an old trick - attach fishing line to a bill and wait for a victim. Luckily no cars were coming.

LOL so funny. That kid grew up and he's still at it.

i picked $1.52 tonight, but this hasn't happened in quite a while: one of the kitties I feed each night helped me wrangle a wild buck that was face-down on the drive:





so the kitty got a few extra treats tonight.
