What you have is a classic die wear doubling due to Die Deterioration.

Help you realize what Machine Doubling looks like, I'll post the most extreme Machine Doubling coin I've seen. This will help you see that the devices are reduced. (Just like your coin, but more extreme) But it is on a doubled die also. But the flat Machine Doubling shows how much the devices can be reduced. Notice the colors of the arrows. They have a meaning for this coin:
