Not a DDO. What you're seeing is Machine Doubling.

But even these are being called into question

But check out the WDDO-013

Quote:

1966 50¢ SMS WDDO-013 "Best Of" Variety
Description: A Class V CW spread from a pivot at about 5:00 shows on the LIB of LIBERTY, the front curl of hair, and the upper hair details. This variety also shows the doubling from WWHO-002.

It is a doubled die on a Working Hub die.

I'm sorry but if the devises, IGWT and or LIBERTY or Date do not show splits in the serifs or thickening in the devises then my vote is MD. I suspect the only doubling to be found is the front of the face which tells me MD. I pray I'm wrong and it's a new or existing variety!

This should be obvious to everyone...it is MDD (Machine Damage Doubling).

This is what I look for when I'm looking for DDO's. Two different Kennedy's here.
