hi, found this 2013 $1.00 in a stack of 25 ones from the bank, it looks like it was covered in oil,or something, but a line of white showing in the middle on front, the reverse is not affected, I was just wondering how it could be covered in oil, and not go though to the back? I know it's not a error, just thought it was weird.

I like the rubber band theory... environmental damage that was masked off my the rubber band. Maybe a smoky house or establishment?

Interesting find. I like the rubber band theory, too.
