I have this 1946D Lincoln Wheat cent that appears to have an S under the D mintmark as well as some separation on on the numbers in the date that resemble that of a doubled die I'll wait to hear from everyone I'm sure you will all tell me there is no possible way but here it is anyways the separation is on the date thanks for looking

It does look to me to be Machine Doubling on the date going south. Not a Double Die but Machine Doubling.

@tbc, when I rotate, enlarge, and enhance the current photos, I don't see any doubling. The last two digits of the date were either lightly struck or have been preferentially worn. Better pics might help.

I'm pretty sure this is Die Deterioration causing thickness and odd "expansion" on the date and MM, plus some staining.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

To me the 1 & 9 both look doubled I look a the pictures in the books and read and I see seperation on both numbers and both overlaping number appears to be the same size just offset thanks better photos at this time are hard to do with a bad camera sorry ,i seem to be wrong about every coin this is getting silly
