That does look quite a lot like it, but... The doubling behind the ear on WDDO-025 is pretty light, and if that is doubling behind the ear on your coin and not an effect of the nearby hit, it looks stronger than what is on -025. Probably given the number of light hits on your coin the only sure way to attribute it one way or the other would be to find (or not find) the only die marker for that variety - a fairly obvious die gouge east of the chin and north of the 9. I have the plate coin for that WDDO here so if you find a marker on your coin and want me to check for it just let me know.

Can't be sure but that's close. The gouge is straight above the center of the 9 if that helps.

I'm not seeing it in that pic. It's obvious under a loupe though so you should either see it or not. Here's a pic of the exact location.

Thank you so much. Will look tomorrow with real light. Easier for me to see then.

It did not match. Most of what was there was damage, and I had not realized that the scopes do well but the loupe is better at 3d comparisons. I had quit using the loupe but now realize I need them both to actually see what I need to see. Thank you so much, may not be a match but I learned something new again.

Oh yeah, never put away the loupe! There are many times when you are looking for a marker die scratch and you don't find it with the scope. But if the coin is a bit later die stage then that scratch will have become sort of broad and wide and the scope will never see it, but it will be there just fine in the loupe. Lots of good reasons to use both tools.

Bummer it wasn't a match, though, as doubled ear coins are pretty cool.
