Hi, I am new to this and was wondering if this 1964 Nickel is some type of error or just damaged? Thanks!

@SD1980, first welcome to CCF. Second, your '64-D nickel is just damaged. Looks like someone held it on a belt sander. This one is a spender.

To the CCF

It is only an error if it happens during the striking of the coin.
As what happened to your coin is impossible to have been
done at that time, it is PMD. Spend it.
