I picked up this NGC graded cent the other day for my 7070. I'm tossing it over to the grading forum to let people practice. I think this matches up well with my 1860, though I still think my 1860 is a better coin than this one...but it fills the hole nicely.

Here's the link to the 1860 in my 7070:

Here's the "new" older sister I just picked up this week, the scratches are on the holder:

I bought it when I was eight years old for one of those flimsy type albums...

Looks like it practically rotted.

You know, considering that you were eight, it could have been worse! I know you are only 19 (based on the "How old are all you coin collectors?" thread), but I believe the sentimental value will skyrocket in the next twenty years!

Beautiful coin and I love the wreath on the reverse...does it look familiar?

What did NGC grade it? By the way, have you thought of getting that 1860 holdered, too. Those are some great pick-ups!

It came back last week as MS 62. I'd say it was about 1 small tick from making MS 63. As far as the 1860, it's on my list for my and Jaobler's second round of PCGS submissions in the next few months.

Basically I am starting over. I am going against the grain and getting as many proofs as I can that fill the holes in the 7070.

Wow, I was gonna guess 63 at least! So are you gonna crack it out of its holder now?
