There are actually 7 1982 varieties. Here they are 1982-P large zinc. 1982-P large copper, 1982-P small zinc, 1982-P small copper, 1982-D large zinc, 1982-D large copper and a 1982-D small zinc. copper cents may be the new silver coins, people will hoard them and sell them based on their value of copper and actually melting them down.
