Need Help On Verification Of A 1970 "no S" Dime

Riftlegacy New Member United States 7 Posts	Posted 01/11/2019 6:57 pm (Had to repost to fix name of title) I read an article about verifying whether my 1970 dime is a "no s" or just any regular dime but I can't tell. To me it looks like any other dime which it probably is, but on the article it says it's supposed to be reflective and to me by looking at it, it's reflective. The more I look at it the more I think it's a regular dime. Just want a second opinion. The 1970 dime I'm referring to is the middle one Thank you guys so much for helping me. I'm quite new to this hope to learn more so I can verify things on my own. If you have tips please let me know Report this Post to the Staff

Then you will have something to compare future "possible No S" dimes to. When you find one that looks just like your "with S" dime then come show us. jeffbuckes Pillar of the Community United States 834 Posts	Posted 01/12/2019 3:59 pm @Riftlegacy - Here's the short story: the San Francisco mint puts an "S" mintmark on its coins. In 1970 they accidentally forgot to put the "S" on some of their dimes. Those dimes were put into proof sets, they were not released into circulation. Hope that helps clarify the other comments.
