Is in the correct size and weight for a Morgan dollar? If the correct size, I am suspecting its under weight. Possibly from being Harshly cleaned with acid.

I's a fake and probably one of the most ridiculous counterfeits I have ever seen.

It really doesn't matter why. Could have been some dude in his garage looking for extra income.

Is it just the pics or are the kind of "puffed" out?

How much do they weigh? Are they silver?

A long period in a clothes dryer or a rock tumbler will do this to a coin. Here's an earlier thread. Notice how the rim flattens and the details wear off. It's hard to fake this.

I've seen similar rim-raising when people hammer coins to make rings. But the central coin features stay intact.
