Interesting coin @clarapedrero1989. Your pics are great, except that the area of interest is in shadow. Any possibility of moving your light source and re-shooting? I don't see any die cracks in the area.

Can you post pics with the light shifted to illuminate the area in question?

I have seen that before, but never kept any. I think it has to do with die polishing and the anomaly on the reverse. Coop probably knows how to explain it. It's also on the obverse rim from 7k to 11k.

John1 points out a few things as well some others. The reverse image is not zooming in very well, but seems to possibly show a bit of the Recurring Die Subsidence anomaly.

Note: The second link is missing images, but describes the same thing.

The obverse wear adjacent to West rim may show signs of some die wear or early signs of peripheral die damage know as Die Attrition.

The back side of or adjacent to Lincoln's back maybe a die gouge, dent or heavy die wear as well. Hard to make it out in the shadows. Interesting coin none the less. Thanks, Doug.

Still part of over polishing of the die. Most of the time you see die wear marks on that area. Looks like they may have polished the die pretty strong. Note the devices on the edge of the die near the rims location. Looks like someone tried to round out the edge of the die. This year was known for an extremely strong strike, thus the higher rims than normal. I think there were trying to fix the issue with the MD that was so prevalent from 1968-1972 on cents. But the reverse was the only year they used that die. (RDV-003) Known for the large 'FG' on the initials.
