Hi Guys-
I am trying to learn more about actual double dies vs Machine Doubling (chatter). On this one I have several matches to Variety Vistas pics but not all. Re: 1973 DDR-001. Do all the pics need to match exactly? And on this one does it need to be EDS? Thanks. Still learning-

There is a very slight MD on the S , T , and A but not a DDR.

I also am not seeing a DDR, here is a photo of doubling on a 73 DDR.

Your examples devices are looking larger because of Grease Fill on the die. When the die get filled the top of the devices are being prevented from forming. So just the lower part of the device which is wider.

The grease can fill, part fill or even be angled if the die was wiped down with a cloth.
