Since I remember well the whole going to the moon era I'm going to be buying the Apollo 11 two coin set this week. More for the reverse proof Kennedy half, I'm reluctant to say (another reverse proof set later this year?) While at it I may as well complete the order with a Denver mint single half. No dollars or gold.

The only other commemorative on my list is the upcoming American Legion release. Which I intend on buying the five dollar gold. Gorgeous design! Sad that our circulating coinage does not resemble the beauty and meaning behind this design.

Aside from these, not much into the whole program over the years. A bit steep on the cost, although supposedly the surcharge goes to some use outside of the mint. I only have a handful in my holdings since the 1982 inception.

there is nothing wrong with buying commems that you particularly like, even if you don't like the others. I feel the same way about Canadian commems, but I do get a few.

I am glad you posted this. I did not see where they were making a new Kennedy also. But now that means I have to come up with 53.00!

I received the mailer from the mint. In it is the two coin set, the Apollo 11 half and Kennedy. Although the photo shows a normal finish the text states reverse proof. Yes, it's an introductory price at $53.95 plus $8.95 shipping.
