HI. So I'm new to this site, posting, and coin collection in general. I've just recently started actually adding to my handed down, already pretty large collection of old and new coin and paper money from all over the world. (Both parents in the military, ya know)
Anywho, I found this coin(actually soo many)that I have a question about, real, fake, what it actually effing is because I cannot make heads or tails(#11013;#65039;#128527;Heh)of any of the searches. I really have more questions then answers at this point...

*added, also it isn't magnetic and there are like, maybe melty spots on it, they're soil as if it's the metal.. idk I'm super confused... very... silver...
Thanks ahead of time and please let me know if I'm messing up or breaking rules or something. #9825;

Crisp images properly oriented of just the coin you're curious about will help. Assuming it's this one and 1990-D, it's copper plated zinc. I'm guessing it rotted from the inside and a chunk broke off.

to CCF. One coin per post properly rotated and cropped before posting. The 1990-D looks like environmental damage to me with gunk stuck on it. You should get yourself a Red Book for the info only,not the values. Use the search box and glossary,left of page for some help.

Okie dokie so just toss that one or no? I have hordes so many extra coins just because I'm like well what if I DONT keep it then it turns out I should have, lol. BUT that collection is getting a smidge ridiculous so I'm not opposed to tossing if it's nothing lol

And thanks guys

I have SOOO many other questions but I'm hesitant
1) because I really dont want to look like a fool
J/k but fr,
I dont want to have like a million single posts for each individual question. Is there a way I can like, group it all in one and just get a bunch of help at one time, or as it comes in..? Is that allowed?
(I promise not to be overwhelming)
^to try

Well you asking about one coin, just showing others. But on your coin it was altered by having zinc added to the outside or the copper stripped on the coin. Not a keeper. Just an altered coin. If you received this collection, you may have a lot of damaged coins that were altered after the strike. So if you see a trend of certain types of coins, post just one of that type. Why? Because if you post 50 of the same issue, the answer will be probably 50 times the same. So were are here to help you be able to identify what you have so you can learn. That is what I do here. I try to help you see what I see on your coin. So when you learn something, the next time you see it, you will be able to keep or dispose if they are not collectables.
