It shows extra thickness on the initials. What say you?

It looks like there might be some notching at the top left of the devices and as you said extra thickness, so, yes! I think you've got one! Great find GC!

Looks normal from what I can see. On Wexler's site he has a few WDDRs with on that initial:

Note on the WDDR-003, He has an image of that DDR and a normal initial as well under it. It looks just like your coin, a normal one.

@coop I think mine's intials are a bit thicker on the bottom and left of L, DDD maybe? What do you think?

My biggest concern is if it was altered during circulation? If looks like coin contact happened on thr lower part of the devices.
