Quote: If you can't tell the difference by looking at the coin, then it's the same. No to belabor the point but you should add "In my opinion" since there are MANY, MANY instances of identical coins selling for MUCH more than their brethren just because of a label....from the 20th Annie set 2006 W forward to many special sets with routine coins to bullion (W) and (S) slabs

Just the promised update on the new key (lowest mintage) W burnished silver eagle.
There are only a tad over 450 left of the 2018 W's
Mintage will be the lowest by around 40,000

I'm not a fan of the uncirculateds, but that's just me. I'm still of the opinion the 2017-S ASE Proofs are the sleeper, but I have been of that opinion for awhile.

Quote: I'm still of the opinion the 2017-S ASE Proofs are the sleeper, I love the 2017-S PF's and have quite a few BUT I really can't call them a "sleeper" since it was known before issue that there would only be 125k minted. The 2018 W is sliding under the radar with not many more than the 2017-S I should also add that for potential I think the proof has it hands down over the unc but we will see what being a key of the series does for the eventual price. A couple of days ago I did pick up some more PCGS 70's (2018-W) for $57 shipped....couldn't turn that one down

Just a FYI for anyone looking to buy slabbed ones off ebay. Many are listed as 2018-W but are actually the buillon w/o the mint mark. Even the label will say struck at West Point. Most sellers mention in the description it doesn't have the mint mark so just a heads up.

Excellent point. There are more of the (W)"s without mintmarks..a.k.a bullion....than the real W's a.k.a. burnished
