I also found this 1953 Wheat penny with some kind of blob on the reverse on the left wheat stalk. Not sure if it is post mint or not. Any ideas?

It's called a Die Chip. Although, it's pretty common onnthe Wheat Centd from the 1950's, so there probably won't be much of a premium, if any.

Yes that looks like a die chip to me also. However, the rim in the region of the rev looks a little weird--perhaps a bit of a mis-aligned die?
