Found this nickle today wondering what may have happened to it and what a nickle like this might be worth?

It was a two headed Magician's coin, the other side fell out. A perfect example of how they are made though.
One nickel is machined to the outer rim and deep enough to hold the other part inside, the other ( which is missing ) is ground flat on the "tails" side and just enough of the outer edge is removed so it can be glued to the part you have.

It isn't worth anything except as a novelty complete, and maybe a few dollars before this happened.
However, this is worth having for just this purpose, to show others how those two headed coins are made.
I have an 1982 P nickel myself that was made this way in my collection.
They can be made so well that it is hard to detect the gap near the rim.
