Thought this might be fun. My penny collection just as I left it at the age of 14, like a stopped clock. As you can see, some of them are "unserculated". All collected from my change or my mother's or father's or sister's change or from hours of roll hunting. Grading is very suspect.

Brings back fun memories, except for the not so fun part of forcing coins to squeeze into the folder's holes.

I had a similar set once, which my nut-job younger brother spent at face value when I was away at college.
Rest in Peace

TreeMonkey , This Reminds me of my first Whitman folders when I first started coin collecting . That 1938-S is killing me ..
Send me your address via PM, and I'll send you a much better one . The one in that folder will infect the rest of your Wheaties .

This makes me wonder how long ago wheat cents stopped being commonly found in circulation. I remember when I first started learning about coins back in the mid-2000s, I had never even seen a Wheat cent before, and I bought one off a coin site. But I imagine they must have been everywhere back in the 1960s. And probably a bunch of 90% silver too, for that matter.
Rest in Peace

I suggest you change them from a Folder to an Album. Folders are famous for slowly ruining coins.

I would also suggest you check closely for any errors, varieties or anomalies.

Just curious can someone tell me what does Number One on the first Album mean? Is it the size of the Album?
