Have an opportunity to get this one and was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on it. Grade, eye appeal. I know some like toning and some don't but all thoughts are appreciated.  |

Beautiful coin, pancake strike, probably a 64 but not a shoo-in.

I'm not real big on toning, but I like this one! coin is very unique...could probably go MS-64, unless issues are being hidden by the tone....nice

The toning turns me off, but that aside, I think it is hiding condition alot, to me anywayz. I would maybe go 58/60. Yea, I dislike toning that much, and the rub down the cheek knocks it down for me. IMHO

I really like the toning. Looks like nice luster under the toning. It will be interesting to see if the look matches the photos in hand.

Thanks everyone, for those of you who know me I'm only a few Morgans shy from having a complete set. This 83-O was, in my honest opinion, beautiful. The only reason I was purchasing it was for the toning. Turns out the sellers website had a glitch which allowed two people to purchase the same item. I, unfortunately came in after the other buyer. They were very nice and, hey, things happen. I'll keep hunting... Thanks for the offer NDBirdman, I have two other 83-O's I was just interested in this one due to the toning. For kicks, here is my nicest 83-O... VAM 39A NGC Graded 64....   Edited by srs77
