Dears

Kindly I need your help about that coin .
Its weight 7.8 grams .
Is that forgery or what ? And if it is forgery does it has any value ?
Note : the metal is not steel .

Definitely a forgery-it should weigh 10 grams. The value would be very low.

Looks like there might have been silver plating on this one at one point (but is now worn off, especially on the high points). I wonder if this saw some circulation?

petermegally The coin may in fact be a contemporary counterfeit - if that opinion can be sustained by a scientific analysis then it is likely to be of some value as a collectable counterfeit. How much depends on interest in the type.

Typically for a CCC in decent shape I will pay $15 as a starting price.

If this is lead or pewter with a silver wash or something along that line It does have some value.
I search ebay, Vcoins and MaShops for coins like this.

A contemporary counterfeit would have more value. Still not a lot for me.
