Repunched S mint marks can be a bugger to see. But this one is so different looking that I think it is likely the least-known of the 1955-S/S coins. The secondary punch is just visible as a blurred blob under the S, although apparently on some early die stage coins a bit more of it can be seen elsewhere. If you really want one, the die marker is the big gouge-like mark through the LU on the reverse and you can find the S/S bit after finding the marker.

This one is on a slight woody, which shows up as greenish streaks. The largest of them doesn't really show up in the photos as it is across the top of the hair and that area gets a bit washed out. But it's a pretty coin.

And of course, if you really want one I will mail you the exact coin shown in the photos if you are the first person to PM me with the subject line: BATS RüL Must be in just that format. As always you must have 250 posts to meet the buy/sell/trade rules but otherwise the first person wins the coin. Winner to be announced in this thread.

We have a WINNER! This one was in record time although our winner was a bit capitalization-challenged on his first entry. But the coin goes out to JIM0815 and he can put it in a place of honor next to that killer 1995 FS-101 he posted recently! Congrats Jim and it'll be on it's way to you shortly.

1955-S RPM-005 is an East, not a south:

1955S-1MM-005
| S/S SOUTH (MDS)

Wexler lists the WRPM-001 only. (Not complete)

Thanks David I just got on the forum and saw the post. I didn't think I'd ever get the capitalization right.
