Just Die Deterioration Doubling and Split Plate Doubling. Neither of them carry any premium. Definitely not worth getting it graded by a TPG. http://www.error-ref.com/die-deteri...on-doubling/ http://www.error-ref.com/split-plate-doubling/

It looks more like the force doubling, I looked through the list of all errors on the link you attached. Thoughts?

My thought is that this looks like a very good example of split plate doubling.

I agree it is not an error coin. Also, for a modern coin a MS65 would be no big deal anyway. On a modern coin it would have to grade at least MS68 to justify all the costs involved to have it graded by a TPG...IMHO.

Hello, this is caused by a die that is at the end, over used state, not considered a error.

Very common for cents of that period. The plating tears from striking. These spots will begin to be attacked and Zinc rot will consumed the cent in time.
I personally find this VERY disturbing because as it is now 38 years of cents minted over the past 38 years will be effected, and in the future many of these coins will not longer exist.
I find it highly disturbing that the mint would continue this process once the situation was discovered.

Note all the affected areas are on the sides that face the rim. Just Die Deterioration. No premium. Also your coin has a lot of split plating. In time the coin will continue to zinc rot. Spend it before you have a copper colored Hershey's Kiss wrapper.
