Despite their popularity I've never made an effort to collect or study Morgans. My uncle gifted this one many years ago. I don't know if rose color toning like this is considered a plus or minus on Morgans.

I think it's a 58/60. When I blew it up, it looks like a double'd eye? To blurry for me to see clearly, the experts will be around soon. I like the toning, it's not a in your face overly strong toning. Hair lightly worn over ear and small/light gouge in hair above ear or I would say a little higher.

Photos are just not sharp enough to tell if this one is MS or AU.

I think it is in AU range but it is a little difficult to tell from the pictures.
Toning is a collectors' preference - some like it, some don't. I would not do anything to the toning because I do not think it detracts from the coin at all. It is a lovely gift - enjoy!

Here's a zoom into the eye area. I was thinking MS beause I don't see any contact marks from circulation, but I could easily be wrong since I'm a novice at Morgan grading.

AU-58. I don't see any evidence of cleaning.
