I have a handful of British pre-decimal coins I was considering submitting to NGC. This would be my first time submitting anything to a third-party grader.
Among these is a 1902 half-penny of the Low Sea Level variety, which along with it's One Penny counterpart, is one of (if not the most) well-known varieties in British coinage.
However, upon looking at NGC's list of attributed varieties (link below), I do not find mine on the list. This confuses me, since every 1902 Penny or half-penny I have ever seen in NGC plastic includes an attribution of high or low sea level.
Am I missing something here? Does NGC just automatically attribute this variety whenever this specific type of coin is sent to them? I can't seem to find an answer anywhere on their website.
The GB 1902 half penny low tide is automatically designated at PCGS and should be at NGC as well. Major design differences like that are generally automatic.
