Sorry not a mint error, but rather damage. One possible explanation is that this cent was pressed against a metal washer. If you could please post a pic of the rev, that would be informative. Thx.

Probably the reverse is pushed out and the coin maybe bent.

The reverse is pushed out from the hit, so it 100% confirms that it's Post Strike Damage ( PSD).
