It's a stock photo for a listing telling you that you're purchasing an NGC MS 65 Morgan that will be in the date range listed. Essentially it's their choice what they're going to send

This type of listing is for people who like surprises, you know, graduates of unsearched rolls...

Uh, at that price, I know darn well they will send commons with low values. Personally, I find that type of add dishonest! When I pay good $$, I don't want little value in return. I will never purchase from an add like that, good luck to those that do! Thanks for the info!

Nothing dishonest about it, as long as they send you a Morgan slabbed by NGC and graded MS65, and they offer free returns if you don't like what you receive (you pay for shipping unless they made some kind of mistake). Personally, I wouldn't buy one through this kind of listing either, but obviously some people do.

Deleted prior commets.
Ok, I just bit out of curiosity. I'll post what I get sent. With my luck, it will be a duplicate of what I already have, the cheap ones... LOL I'll give them a chance, I do like a gamble but usually at the casino where I get atleast a cup of coffee free.

It's a very common add to sell an NGC MS-65 Morgan "type" Dollar. They hope that people will buy more than one hoping for a mix of dates.

I will never purchase from an add like that, good luck to those that do! Thanks for the info! It all depends on the price. I picked up about 8 random common date NGC MS65 Morgans (no 21's) from a dealer that were priced under market a few years ago. I sold the coins and made some money. A lot of gold coins are sold by random date. I recently picked up a random date MS 63 $10 Liberty gold that was near melt with the ebay Bucks. When you buy a random date, you have to expect the most common date and low for grade.

If I was NGC, I would not be happy with how this reflects on my brand. Dishonest? Pretty fine line here. It is definitely not a "random year". It is one randomly selected out of some very carefully selected years.

Yet another nutty way to try to get people to just buy something. And I'll bet it works.
