I took the liberty of correcting the color a little bit:

It's an easy EF - I think your grade is spot-on - but I have to be a little worried about the originality of the surfaces. It almost looks like an older cleaning, beginning to retone.

Easy XF45, if the surfaces are original, $100+ on Heritage and $125-150 on ebay.

Thanks Dave,

Fine job....it looks almost exactly like the original coin. By the way right on target with the price.

I went into debt a little bit, well, quite a little bit.

Bought a $2 1/2 dollar gold Indian, 1908, and a gold Panda.

Also, a couple silver rounds with Christmas designs.

Bought a 1881-P $5 gold peice in AU for $180 at my local coin shop. Buying gold for the first time - scary as heck, but he was cool about it - no pressure or anything.

I think the Sacagawea dollars are becoming one of my favorite coins. I just recently completed my set, including proofs, in a Dansco album. They look really nice.

I was sick in bed today, so I went on an online coin shopping spree. These are probably my buys for the month. First, a nice 1889 Seated dime in EF for my 7070 ($18 shipped).
Buy-Of-The-Week

The next two coins are in the white boxes, since the pics are of four coins I was offered by the same dealer and I decided to choose two. The 1848 large cent is for my 7070 and it cost me $35 shipped. The 1837 bust half may temporarily reside in the 7070 until I find a higher grade example of a reeded edge bustie. Then, it will go into my date set of capped bust halves.

I really like that 1853 Half Cent and need one like it myself. I like the ones you picked out and I think you got a very good deal on them in my opinion

According to the seller, the coin may have been cleaned at one time (note the discoloration on the bust). He net-graded it as a Fine, but he's an EACer. It was really affordable and if you want more details, I can get you his name and contact info.
