I pulled this out of pocket change today. My guess was some kind of damage or environmental substance, but I wanted to be sure, so here I am! Thanks for your time.

I found one of these as well, never got around to posting or asking about it. I believe mine was a 1968-D.

I thought it was a very minor cladding error, sort of like a partial missing clad layer but confined to the rim. I never confirmed that with anyone though.

I will be interested to hear what others have to say.

Not sure on this one honestly. I'd like to see what the other members will say.

Looks like weakness also in the center area of the design on the reverse? Maybe a thin clad. What is the weight?

Thanks for all the quick responses. It weighs 2.3 grams on the dot. One thing I forgot to mention is that it seems to be peeling slightly in some areas.
