Hi folks! Can you tell me if this is a Wide AM? Compared to others it looks to be wider but the FG is not close to monument stairs. Will the FG always be close to the monument stairs on a 1999 WAM? It is not in good condition at all.

I think it's a Close AM.

Close AM
On a Wide AM, not only is the M centered, but
the A in STATES is centered which yours is not.
Also the FG always appears closer to the monuments
on the WAM Lincolns.

Please always show both sides when submitting photos.

I agree with my colleagues. The initials positioning is definitely a giveaway, but also the position of the A M and E (look at the bottom of the letters.) There are some good comparison photos in the following thread:

You have it now - fully concur with the opinions stated above.

To my eye - the best diagnostic of the 1998-2000 LMC WAM is the spacing between the TAT in the legend STATES.

If the A is centered between the two T - then it's a WAM.

If the A is shifted to the far T, as your is, then its a CAM
