Not really into currency but since they're now selling on the Mints website I noticed this set. Is 5000 product limit considered low for a currency set? I'm sure if this was any coin it'd be a winner. What about serial numbers? What's considered desirable?

I find their stuff overpriced.

I saw this offering too but the price is, as WheatBack said, steep for what you get.
Even though the product may be limited to 5k, really the only thing limited about it is the packaging. The SNs are somewhat interesting, starting with "2019" but otherwise there will be many, many series 2017 New York $1 FRNs and 2013 SF $2 FRNs out there. So if you separated them from their packaging, they'd probably be worth $3 total.
All this IMO, of course.

I will amend my note above to say that while I think they're overpriced, it doesn't mean I won't end up buying one.

This set is shown as Currently Unavailable, which is typically a precursor to Sold Out.

Hello, I purchased one of these sets. Then I began to wonder "Is is possible to get a complete set of currency notes with the same serial number?" Has the Bureau of Engraving ever offered that? If not, how could a set be put together? Would it take vast sums of cash?
Thank you. Allen

Still "Currently Unavailable" so perhaps I won't be getting one. Oh well. With a 5k product limit, I guess that's not a big surprise.
@Allen1973 - I'm not sure I completely understand your question.

I notice the 2018 Founding Fathers set is still available. I wonder if that's because the $1 note in that set is the 2017 series and there was more demand?
Or if they're just printing more packaging for the 2019 set.

Quote: Has the Bureau of Engraving ever offered that? No. The closest offering I can recall is the BEP Lucky 8.8.8. Money Set containing matching $1, $2 and $5 notes. The serial numbers match but the notes are from three different series and districts.
