I apologise I am super new to identifying and don't know a lot of terms. I also hope I am posting in the correct forum, if not please direct me to the correct one and I shall delete this one.
It doesn't seem to have a mint mark so I think that might mean it's Pennsylvania mint.
It is very smashed and I am not sure if it is wear and tear or from minting. The sides are also smooth. It is slightly taller than the 1972 dime I have next to it with a very raised edge on the face.
I am confused as to what you are saying Coop. The 1976 coin is thicker(taller) than the other dime which is on the right to show difference. Do the dimes from 1976 usually start thicker than others?
