The following shots were taken at a 90 degree camera angle:

I had to place the lens at an approx. 45 degree angle for these views creating a blurry but hopefully helpful aspect for this case:

Do you have any clearer images of the obverse and reverse full coin? Can you get a close up of the reverse shield and obverse shield? Can you see any die cracks?
From what I can see it kind of looks like a WB-104, WB-38 die marriage. The WB-38 is a transitional reverse die with the rare 1878 S Half Dollar.

I changed my LED light source from 2700K to 5000K for my last two posts of the full obv/rev sides and separate shields.

It is still hard to see from your pictures. Here are some pictures of the things I would look for.
This is the reverse shield that has two lumps inside the vertical stripes.

This is of the obverse right side of shield,

I feel confident that the reverse shield has none of the die cracks referenced in the above photos. The obverse, on the other hand, is more difficult to opine on and is shown below for comments:

Also, I still would like some feedback insofar as the status of this 'S' mm: RPM, MD etc.

Is there a web site that has pictures & related numerical classifications for the various types of die aberrations for these Seated Liberty 50C coins?

here is the place you want to go. It has the first four volumes of Bill Bugerts book of ALL of the Seated half dollar varieties. (This is the replacement for the Willy-Bugert book) Bill has provided these four volumes for FREE download. (Volume V is still in print and can be purchased so it is NOT available for free.)

Volume 1 is San Francisco issues, Volume II is the Carson City issues, Volumes III and IV are New Orleans, Volumes V and VI will be Philadelphia. Each of these books are at least a couple hundred pages or more.
