I found this penny with a very weak strike the edges are nice and clean so I doubt it is worn. at first I thought it was struck thrue grease but the cent looks to clean there are no blotches plus you can see the grain. Please let me know what you think. Is it worth grading?

Did you transpose the second image? Lincoln is facing in the wrong direction!

To CCF! Nice find! It appears to have been Struck Through Grease heavily on both sides! It's a keeper! It's very worthy of a 2x2. http://www.error-ref.com/struck-thr...-grease-oil/

Weight? I'm thinking test pieces would've been candidates to be placed in the recycle bin. Thanks, Doug.

I'd agree not a test piece just that the die was filled up with some grease or junk. Enough detail is missing to make this special.

The big clue for it not being a low pressure strike is that the rims are there. On the example you posted, it doesn't have rims.

With the rims, it is probably a Struck Through Grease issue:

Big price difference. $10K on ebay. Your coin $10.00 max. (unless someone thinks on ebay it is worth a lot more.

ok I got you thank you very much for the info it makes sense the edges would not be so crisp and doubled since they are adding more pressure slowly to not break the dies makes sense.
thanks again. these are not really worth much . I will keep it for my self. Thanks again guys
