I have several "newbie" questions...
1. What dictates "new listing" title in cherry pickers? Is it bc this error wasn't previously recognized?
2. Is there a forum just for new discoveries?
3. Can a coin be the known variety AND have MD? or will the true variety only exhibit what is described?
4. Is the 1963 D Franklin half known to be plagued with MD? I found twenty 63D's with what I thought was MD but I'm not qualified to tell the difference. I don't want to bore the "pillars" with MD photos LOL but with new discoveries being made, I don't want to overlook something either. Advise please!

4. I just checked the graded normal halves on PCGS and all three shown had Machine Doubling on all of them. So it may have been an issue that year. They didn't have the FS-801 on their site. But the devices on your coin are normal sized with Machine Doubling.
