Under magnification the "G" in GOD looks like the serif is separated.

The first pic #37 is the messed up one the second pic #36 is another 2013 at the same focus and distance.

Try filtering your light source. What is your light source?

What I'm using is a Plugable USB Digital Viewer Microscope with Flex Mount & 250x Magnification. This has a built in light source, which I believe is filtered. Here's a closer pic.

Right on top of it, can't get any closer.

I may be wrong, but I see light coming from more than one angle and that will cause problems. I had to block off all but one light on my scopes, and filter that single bulb. Sometimes I turn off the onboard lights and use a hand held LED flashlight.

I understand the O & D are md, I just thought the serif on the G was separated and crooked.

John1: The microscope I use has four lights equally distributed around the scope. I have no question about md on this slogan. My only point was that the G seems like it's more than just that. I think Errors & Variety may have it right Die Deterioration Doubling coupled with md. It only shows up under max close up so I don't think it's anything major. Just a curiosity.
