Wouldn't be struck through.
Looks more like a greased filled die that is
also affecting part of the "L"

Well I'm seeing an issue with a vending machine damaged coin. Note how the metal was moved over the field? Just the area where this type of damage rears it's ugly head.

Just a damaged coin. Date in the range when cents were used and damaged in these machines.
